Enjoy Nature in Reeves-Reed Arboretum

  • Are there any hands-on kid-friendly activities?

    Check out Discovery Saturdays. Stop by the Stackhouse Education Center at Reeves-Reed Arboretum any Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and you'll find an array of interactive activities. Kids will learn about plants, animals, and the environment by doing experiments, playing games, and listening to stories. There is no registration necessary for this outdoor adventure.
  • What are the best times to see plants, flowers, and trees in bloom?

    Whenever you come to Reeves-Reed Arboretum, you'll see something in bloom. The months when the most plants, flowers, and trees are alive are May and June. During May, you'll be treated to everything from Azaleas, Dogwoods, and Forget-Me-Nots to Lilacs, Rhododendrons, and Virginia Bluebells. If you're here in June, you'll enjoy such favorites as Foxglove, Milkweed, and Sweet William.
